Posted in Local Attractions

A walk ( or cycle)  of approximately 66 miles through several border towns taking in the ruins of 4 twelfth century Abbeys. The journey is best completed in individual sections eg Kelso to Jedburgh, Jedburgh to Hawick, Hawick to Selkirk and Melrose to Kelso.

On this journey you can take in magnificent views of the Eildon Hills, tarry a while at the confluence of the Teviot and Tweed rivers, where you may be fortunate to see salmon leaping, or  just spend some quality time shopping in the beautiful border towns with their quaint markets.
